Thanks Xoco! I was wondering the same thing myself (new LG G3 as of yesterday) - if it is just how Android/Lollipop displays contacts with no pictures, that makes sense. I was trying to figure out if the colors actually meant something (such as primary method of contact (Work, Home, Cell, etc), but nothing made sense.

Despite being the world’s largest e-commerce retailer, Amazon’s mobile app has always been a bit of a hot mess. OREM, Utah — A Provo police officer has died after being shot by a suspect late Saturday evening, officials report. The shooting happened in Orem near the Bed Bath and Beyond located at 50 W.
