Sure, there's still the matter of 'fuel' but it does raise the question of possibly FTLing back to help Earth then resuming the trip/mission (though Earth might not let they resume with this crew intact), which I imagine needs to be discussed/argued on-screen.
The ship refuels off of stars. I don't think fuel is a real issue.
Well, at least they remembered that Simeon should have been under guard. RIP more crew members that keep appearing from off-screen. Who were all those people bustling around in the medical bay again? That's probably my biggest gripe -- the magical crew replacements for all the faceless folks. There were onlly 100 or so people in the first episode. They keep losing people. And yet, there's no sense that they're running low on ANYTHING -- marines, ammunition, material... I'll give them food and water, those can be found. But the rest? The radios can be recharged by Destiny, but it's not like they have a weapons manufacturing station...
Eh, I'm just bitter. We've now got "Magical Girl Chloe", because the writers apparently don't understand why no one likes the character. So let's give her cool abilities! Rather than allow Ginn to stick around -- someone who LEARNED her science -- we've got a character who 'just knows'. It's my biggest pet peeve in any kind of Sci-Fi show and they stuck it on a character I *already* disliked.
Rush continues to prove that he doesn't understand the concept of teamwork: What, exactly, would he have gained by concealing the remote-tracking capability that he just figured out?
Oddly enough, I liked Rush's attack on Simeon. It's not like the character was ACTUALLY going to talk. He was just looking for another reprieve to try again. The stampede was a nice touch -- Rush knew better than to trust his (most likely untrained) aim.
I liked this episode, despite my complaints. Now if only we could actually get the sense that the crew is DWINDLING from all these deaths they keep having -- and preferably Chloe gets added to the list -- I'd be really happy with the way they're going.
